When Marty and I started out (just got married), we were blissfully happy in a 1400 square foot apartment at Laurel Springs in North Raleigh for 6 months.
Then we decided to put our money towards a mortgage instead of rent and moved to a 1860 square foot house on a quarter acre lot in Harrington Grove (Northwest Raleigh) and lived there for 7 years.
Then the opportunity presented itself to purchase my parents' 3700 square foot house on 8.68 acres next to Falls Lake (the one they built when I was growing up) and so we moved into the house where we currently live. What comes around goes around I guess...
