It was supposed to snow all night long and we were supposed to get tons and tons of snow. I think RDU officially recorded 1.5 inches. At least we did get a little more than that (around 3-4 inches) anyway. It was a very powdery snow so the snowballs didn't stick together real well and they had a little trouble trying to build a snowman. But it certainly still made for a fun snow day. Marty and I both took off work (instead of trying to work from home) and we all just played all day. We threw snowballs (a LOT), we walked up the driveway, saw all kinds of tracks including turkey, deer, and raccoon. We made snow angels, and snow cream. Yep that's the girls eating snow cream while warming up in a warm bath. We walked down to the lake to see that part of it was frozen and threw everything that wasn't attached to the ground on the ice to see what would break it and what would go skating across. We played on the slide and swingset, watched a movie inside (and thawed out), and ate MORE snow cream. Good stuff. Totally worth a day off work.
